Joy in Prayer

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
(Philippians 4:4 NKJV)

We can expect to have many burdens and struggles in this life. Being a believer and a child of God does not keep us from having problems. But God has a solution! The secret to maintaining joy in this world is prayer.

Paul wrote, "Rejoice in the Lord" and then he wrote that we are to "Be anxious for nothing," and to turn over every anxious thought to God in prayer (Philippians 4:6-7). We cannot be joyful and anxious at the same time. When we give God our problems, He replaces them with His joy.

If you have anxious thoughts today, commit them to God in prayer so that you can enjoy His joy and peace.

"Only to sit and think of God - oh what a joy it is!"
