After this I looked, and behold a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9-10 ESV)
Today we are sharing a YouTube version of I Stand Before Your Throne, a scripture-based song based on Revelation 7:9-10, that is also the first song on our third CD, Before Your Throne.
Many things that demand our attention on a daily basis, things necessary for living - food, sleep, fellowship with family/friends, exercise, etc. However, sometimes we can find ourselves giving more attention to those things instead of the Lord.
The lyrics of the song, I Stand Before Your Throne, describe a deliberate act of putting all of the daily things aside and putting one's complete focus on the Lord. He deserves our undivided attention. He is our Holy King.
God alone deserves our worship. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. May we seek to give Him priority on a daily basis.
Worship is the submission of all our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness, the nourishment of the mind with His truth, the purifying of the imagination of His beauty, the opening of the heart to His love, the surrender of the will to His purpose. - William Temple
