Yesterday, in the twilight of waking up, part of a song and scripture from a while ago was stirring inside me, "for those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled, shall be filled, shall be filled." (Matthew 5:6) Then I sensed the Lord ask me what that meant to me?
Have you ever been so hungry or thirsty that the thought of eating anything appealed to you? I know I am guilty of eating "junk" in order to be momentarily satisfied. I know it's not good for my body, but I eat it anyway…
Alabaster Grace is the husband/wife duo of Brad and Joan Perry, and the special friends who play music with them. Each song has a unique message based on scripture from the Bible.
What’s in the name, Alabaster Grace?
Alabaster represents the faith and committed service of the woman with the alabaster bottle who anointed Jesus’ feet with the precious oil (Luke 7:36-50). Grace because we are offered God’s grace of forgiveness and salvation. Alabaster symbolizes our best for God and Grace is His priceless gift to us that we do not deserve.
“Father God, I know that I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son, and I believe He died for my sin and You raised Him to life. I trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. Jesus, I surrender my life to You and ask You to come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
